ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY!
We just recently celebrated our one year anniversary and my 27th birthday! It was a wonderful day that we didn't want to end! We decided to celebrate our anniversary and my birthday at the same time since they are so close together. On Friday afternoon we headed up to Salt Lake City to enjoy a night at the Little America and treat ourselves to a fantastic dinner at the Roof Restaurant at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building which is where Brandon proposed! This picture was taken at the entrance to the restaurant which had wonderful creme brulee, lion house rolls, cordon bleu chicken with a yummy pesto sauce, shrimp and cocktail sauce, some of the best clam chowder, and the list goes on! This picture was taken after dinner, when we were quite full, we're trying to suck it in!
After dinner we decided to take a walk around the temple and enjoy the sights!

We were sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple on April 1st 2008!
Beautiful spring flowers at Temple Square- I just love spring!
A great view of downtown Salt Lake from our balcony at The Little America

Brandon enjoying the sitting area in our room! By the way, The Little America is a great hotel and we had a wonderful room with a nice view. We really enjoyed the hot tub and pool, and felt the service and food was excellent! We would recommend this to anyone. They also have good rates! We purchased a B & B package.
When we arrived there were rose pedals sprinkled on the bed with some yummy bubble bath! After dinner we arrived to romantic music playing and the lights dimmed just right- very romantic ladies!

We had an excellent breakfast delivered to our room in the morning! The presentation was fantastic!
Yummy yogurt parfait with fresh berries, granola, and a sprig of mint!
A twist on hash browns, tomato slice, and some sort of egg dish on an ego muffin with sauce- I'm not quite sure what this is called but it was delicious!!!
We also had a fresh plate of fruit, an assortment of muffins, and a tray of salmon, capers, cream cheese and bagels- I think it's called Locks!?
Room Service... I think I could get use to this!
Brandon enjoying the morning paper in bed!

Spring is on it's way!
I'm really looking forward to warm weather so I can get outside and enjoy the outdoors! As spring approaches we've been doing some spring cleaning and sprucing up what we can! A few things we've been able to do so far is get the carpets cleaned, which by the way, makes all the difference, plant some spring pansies, detail the cars, weed out dated wardrobe items, and take measurements for new windows. The last on the list has me very excited because our current windows are about 30 years old and when it comes to the utility bill-we pay. Two of the old two pane windows somehow leaked and let water and dirt in so when you clean the windows they never quite look clean!
I'm also posting pictures of our new oven- well, sort of it's a few months old but we are very proud of it because we paid for it entirely with gift cards from chase reward points AND it was on clearance because it was last years model which is even more rewarding! Another favorite item around the house is our new bar stools which will someday be part of our kitchen table when we buy a house. We bought these at Down East Outfitters and they remind me of my favorite decorating store- Potterybarn!

Watch It! I am finally posting pictures of a few of the watch bracelets I made. I will make a few more and post those pictures hopefully this weekend. Two ladies will be receiving these in the mail soon! *Tip- to make your swarovski crystal jewelry shine like new use a microfiber cloth to wipe oil and fingerprints off. I did this and it made them look like new, I also used this trick on other fine pieces I own!
A New Look
Hey all! I've decided to change the overall look of the blog even though it took me a long time to figure out how to do it! The computer wiz helped me a bit, ok, a lot! Lately I've been wanting to take up or try out new hobbies. I've always wanted to do photography and along with that photoshop. I am looking into signing up for a class at UVU online for photoshop and reading some books Brandon has on photography. He has this great camera that I thought I should take advantage of but I also want to know how to adjust and modify pictures that I take. So, this is my goal for this spring and summer! Here is a funny picture from Maui...oh, how I wish I were there!
