Brandon here -- I wanted to post a couple of shots of Kristen that I recently took with my new camera body. I was looking for a chance to test out the new body and get some glamour shots of Kristen. Of course, she's always glamorous -- I just finally had a good reason for her to let me take pictures of her! :)

Brandon surprised me recently with a cool gadget called GoWear fit (gowearfit.com). He knew is was something I wanted to get to help me with my fitness program. You may have seen these if you've watched The Biggest Loser. You wear it 24/7 and it monitors all of your activity including sleep and any movement that goes on. Basically, it calculates, fairly accurately, your total calorie output. It then is downloaded to a site which also calculates diet and other factors to help individuals either lose weight, get in shape, or just maintain. It's really cool and super easy to use. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. Thanks Babe!

We are ALIVE and yes we are OK!

You may have been asking yourself those questions over the last month and a half if you have been checking our blog for new posts! Between going to AZ and WA and working to make up for being gone, time has flown by! It's late Saturday night and we just finished watching three Star Trek movies- Brandon's pick! We saw the new one last week (pretty awesome) and he's been wanting to watch some of the older ones since. I admit I'm wouldn't call myself a treky but they are pretty entertaining to watch! Anyway, back to our trip to Washington. We had several events going on in WA which included- Graduation, Mother's Day, Dad's B-day, and Curtis and Michelle's wedding. It worked out well to go up there for the week and support our families. We are both very blessed to have such wonderful families. We really enjoyed our stay and both agreed it wasn't long enough!

Graduation

Over the past couple of years my Mom has been going to school on weekends, working, and running the house, which even thinking about what that included makes me exhausted! If you know my mom you know two things- she's very talented meaning she can pick up anything- wedding consult, interior decorator, professional tailor, master gardener, queen of crafts, orthodontist, etc. AND once she sets her mind on something...well, you'd better get out of her way! I am very proud to say my Mom graduated with her Masters in Teaching and will soon be Miss Herzog or Miss H to a classroom of students! Her example has taught me that with hard work, determination, and a passion to succeed ANYTHING is possible! To me this is the greatest gift a parent can give a child no matter how old they are. Congratulations Mom! We love you and are very proud of your accomplishments!

A Night On The Town- Seattle

Brandon's parents, Teri and Nyle, took us to Seattle on Wednesday to see the musical Grease at the Fifth Avenue Theatre in downtown Seattle! They also took us to an exciting restaurant called The Palamino- great food and great glass sculptures! The whole evening was terrific and so much fun! Thanks Teri and Nyle for taking the time to spend it with us and make us feel special, we loved it!

Curtis and Michelle's Wedding

Curtis and Michelle were sealed on Saturday May 16th in the Columbia River Temple! It was a beautiful sealing and they looked so happy together! Congratulation Curtis and Michelle on this exciting new adventure you are beginning, we are very happy for the both of you!

Bridesmaids and Groomsmen

The wedding reception was held at the Farmer residence. During the week Brandon and I pitched in by planting beautiful flowers in their pots, a flowering crab apple tree, and a dogwood wood tree. I love gardening and I had a fun time picking out all these wonderful flowers, I can't wait to have a garden of my own! The men also worked hard to trim shrubs, remove old or ugly bushes, and lay down new gravel while also managing to get a little sun! We also helped around the house where we could and ran errands. I helped make the men's boutonnieres and decorate for the reception. Others helped a great deal too and in the end it all came together and was very nice! I now understand how much work goes in to planning a wedding and reception. I'm sure Nyle and Teri are glad it's over but who knows they may be doing this again very soon!?
