My first destination was Dallas, TX for a class on security. It was hot, humid, and sunny the whole time, which was great because prior to leaving we had endured weeks of day to day rain and thunderstorms. The funny part of the training came on the first day when we were talking about a certain security feature called "Network Address Translation." The teacher was explaining how, in the early days of the internet, a certain University in(of) Utah obtained a very large block of public IP addresses (6 Class-B ranges, according to the teacher). Well now that the world is running out of IP's, Network address translation has become the main tool to conserve public IP's, but it can sometimes be a bear to configure and troubleshoot. So one of the class members raises his hand and says "So you're saying the Mormon's did this to us?" It was pretty funny. Nerdy, but funny.
My second destination was Toronto Canada for another training. I was excited to go to Canada because now it requires a passport -- finally I would get another stamp in my passport!! When I arrived in Canada the customs agent performed the standard "grilling" about my stay purpose/length/etc, but the guy never stamped my passport! I want a refund. The rest of the week went well and I learned a lot about another networking technology. I took the chance to go to the CN tower and here are some of my pictures:

Yeah, I never got my passport stamped in Canadia either. :(
Anyway, glad you had a good trip! I know that wife of your's missed you.
