NYC- Monday

This is the Intrepid Aircraft Carrier. They have turned it into a really cool museum. Brandon has toured this before but we didn't visit it this trip. This is right where our ferry dropped us off every day, at Pier 79

This is one of the new buildings down at Ground Zero. It will be called The Freedom Tower.

We walked from Ground Zero down to Battery Park to ride the Stanton Island Ferry. I thought this walk way was great along the Hudson River

This sculpture was at the Twin Towers when they were destroyed. It survived and now resides in Battery Park. I can't believe it survived. I thought it was very fitting to keep this as a reminder of that terrible day.

This is down in the financial district close to Battery Park. I love the traditional architecture up again the modern skyscraper!

This is Caleb, a co-worker of Brandon's, who works in the NYC Branch of Neovest. He was nice enough to take us around on Monday, Memorial Day, and show us some of NYC. This is on the Stanton Island Ferry, I don't think he wanted his picture taken!

If you ever get a chance you should ride the Staten Island Ferry. The best thing is- IT'S FREE! It's a nice ride and provides great views of the city, Ellis Island, Statue of Liberty, and Governor's Island. We rode over, got off, and got back on!

The beginning of our trek to the Brooklyn Bridge. It's not just a stroll, it's a bit of a hike. The crazy thing was, it was the end of May and it was like in the 90s with a lot of humidity. These pictures don't show it but we were drenched in sweat!
